Land Acquisition
For important development projects, JDA arranges to acquire private land for public purposes, through urban development and housing department, Govt of Raj. It is done after following a complete legal process, as per Land Acquisition Act, 1894. The detail information regarding various steps taken/being taken, in the land acquisitions completed so far or going on at present, is being provided through this window, for the public at large, specially the persons interested or affected, as a measure of transparency in administration and empowerment of citizens.
Steps in Land Acquisition Process
  1. Notification under sec. 4 – Intention to acquire the listed land
  2. Notification under sec. 6 – Conclusive evidence of acquisition
  3. Notification under sec. 6 & 17 (1)(4) – Conclusive evidence of acquisition in cases of urgent requirement
  4. Award – The details of Compensation, against acquired land, as approved by Govt.
